Trace AgTech
Government Agencies: Profile and Map the target group of farmers into a verified database. We are working with the Government of an African country to Register, profile and map over 5 million farmers. This central database of farmers will be used by the Govt to distribute benefits to farmers, by the financial institutions to provide loans to eligible farmers, etc Exporters of Agricultural Produce: Due to stringent quality norms, such as maximum residue levels for pesticide, set by importing countries, exporters are having to intervene at farm levels to train farmers in sustainable agricultural practices. Many large exporters such as Synthite, Nedspice, AB Mauri, Akay spices, International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture, Sikkim ICCOA, Sresta Organics, etc are using Trace AgTech to train farmers and maintain traceability documents. Banks: Financial lending institutions who provide agricultural loans to farmers need to know the crop status of farmers, are there any issues in the field, when crop is expected to be harvested, how much quantity is expected from the harvest, etc. Trace AgTech is a good tool to meet these objectives Fertiliser/pesticide/Seed companies: It is important for these agri input companies to have a database of farmers, know which crops they are growing and the history of their usage of these agri inputs. These companies also have a large field force deployed in the field. The movement of these field staff needs to be monitored rigorously to ensure that they are doing their job responsibly. Seed Production Companies: Seed production companies use selected farmers to multiply their seeds. These farmers need to be trained in the scientific way of cultivation, supported in solving field problems, etc. Examples of usage: Kerala Agricultural Department: Project name “Athirapally Tribal Valley Project (ATVAP). Funded by UNDP. Project is to register the tribal settlements in the Athirapally projects, geomap their farms, audit their farm areas and track their conformance under various benefits provided by the Department. Mobile Pads loaded with Trace AgTech applications are given to Team leaders (a prominent person from the tribal community). Using these Pads the Team Leaders collect the above listed information from the Tribal farmers. The collected information is synced with the cloud server whenever the team leaders go to a network area. IPC Farmers App: The International Pepper Community, Jakarta is an inter Governmental organisation formed under the UN-ESCAP. Our software is used by them to reachout to about 10,000 farmers spread across India, Vietnam, Indonesia and Sril Lanka. Farmers download this mobile application and are able to benefit from various services such as: Guidance on Sustainable Agricultural practices of multiple crops Identification and Control of Pests and Diseases Training of farmers using videos on various topics Interactive support service to answer questions from farmers at any time.
