Problem Statement

Goal: Develop a profitability model to support internal sales and pricing teams in evaluating deals and making informed quoting decisions. 

Background & Challenge: 
Currently, there is no tool available to assess the profitability of proposals during negotiations. Teams quote without visibility into potential cost and margin implications. 

Scope of Work: 
Build an internal-use decision support tool that: 
  • Allows input of relevant deal parameters such as service requirements, volume, storage type, duration, etc 
  • Provides clear visibility into expected revenue, incurred costs, and indicative profitability
  • Supports sales and pricing teams with better insights for negotiations and deal approvals

Outcome:

  • Informed and consistent decision-making during customer negotiations
  • Higher pricing accuracy and reduced risk of unprofitable deals
