Problem Statement
Goal: Enable end-to-end automation across warehouse operations by identifying and eliminating manual processes wherever possible.
Background & Challenge:
Although a WMS is in place, many operational workflows such as order intake, communication, and status updates are still handled manually, resulting in inefficiencies, delays, and errors.
Scope of Work:
Design and implement scalable automation solutions that:
- Identifies manual and repetitive processes across the warehousing lifecycle • Introduces automation tools to reduce human intervention
- Integrates with existing WMS and other systems to streamline execution and monitoring • Improves internal coordination, turnaround times, and data accuracy • Implements technologies like
- LED-guided picking and sorting technologies that enhance accuracy and speed in order fulfilment (Pick-to-Light & Put-to-Light Systems)
- Pre-programmed transport robots that efficiently move goods within large warehouse environments (Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
- Voice-based picking: a hands-free, speech-driven technology that enhances order fulfilment efficiency by allowing workers to receive picking instructions via voice through a headset, eliminating need for paper lists or scanners.
