Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for Visual and Thermography Inspection
Visual inspection and Thermal imaging of refractory lined equipment using Un-manned Aerial Vehicles (UAV generally denoted as Drones) is an advanced technology in which real time thermal gradient profiling can be carried out where temperature profile monitoring by manual thermography, visual inspection and contact type skin temperature readings is extremely difficult due to inaccessibility and high radiation. Because of the size of the flue gas duct ranging from 84 inches to 129 inches dia; manual thermography is not feasible in many locations and drone assisted thermography will help in timely Identification of hot spots on a cold wall equipment and monitoring of the skin temperatures the equipment through routine thermal scans of the equipment.
