Problem Statement
About Transworld Logistics FZE: Transworld Logistics FZE, the warehousing and distribution vertical of Transworld Group, provides scalable warehousing, distribution, and contract logistics services across the UAE and GCC. With strategically located facilities it caters to diverse sectors such as FMCG, retail, healthcare, automotive, and e-commerce.
Goal: Build a market intelligence platform that tracks shipments flowing into and out of key UAE ports (e.g., Jebel Ali) by product type, customer name, and destination market to enable targeted sales outreach and capacity planning.
Background & Challenge:
Currently, there is limited visibility into macro-level and product-specific cargo flows passing through regional logistics hubs. This restricts the ability to proactively identify potential customers, seasonal demand trends, or trade shifts that can influence warehousing needs.
Scope of Work:
Develop a data aggregation and intelligence engine that:
- Ingests public and commercial data sources (e.g., customs filings, port records, shipping manifests) to monitor containerized and bulk shipments across product categories
- Analyzes inbound cargo into Dubai (especially Jebel Ali) by season, commodity type (e.g., electronics, perishables, pharma), consignee/exporter name, and origin country • Tracks outbound shipments by market and product trends—e.g., exports to Saudi, East Africa, or CIS countries by volume, type, and frequency
- Flags potential customers whose trade patterns suggest warehousing or cross-dock needs
- Generates sector-specific lead lists and heatmaps of demand clusters by time period and cargo type
Outcome:
- Improved sales targeting based on real trade data
- Identification of high-potential verticals (e.g., seasonal FMCG, food re-exporters, e commerce)
- 10–15% increase in qualified leads entering the sales funnel
- Better forecasting for space, labor, and infrastructure investments
